Hi,
Just bought a 2,5i Sapphire Black Z4 E85.

The car is registered 2006 first time, but is a 2003 production year with only 90000km on the clock.

I live in Denmark, and must admit I completely fell for the Z, and traded in my Fiat Barchetta for it within a week after testing it for fun.

Looking forward for the summer, and is enjoying the Z4, as my only escape from the home these days.

Looks a very nice example. Welcome along. Same model as the one I bought recently for my wife.
I'm sure [ref]clarker63[/ref], did notice you were from Denmark really :poke: :D

Amazing road holding you have on that E85!

Indeed, however it was part of the reason for buying this one, as it is very original in setup.
Eventhough they are not massive, they are actually groning on me, but must admit I’m also drawn to bigger wheels 😅

Hi and welcome to the forum.

There are quite a few 18" wheel options that fit the Z4, mostly staggered (wider rears than fronts) but you can fit 19s if you get carried away! You could always keep your existing wheels for winter tyres if you would need them.

Whatever you choose, most most people on here reckon they drive much better on non-runflat tyres.

Enjoy your good looking Z4. :driving:

Phew, owned the Z for about a month now and has been quite a month.

I’ve put around 900miles on it in total, resulting in a Yellow check engine light(around 700miles in). Diagnosed a cracked intake pipe and took it to the dealer and got it sorted wit no issues under warranty.

It also had malfunctioning lock and warning lights buttons in the center console, due to the wires haven’t come out. :headbang:

Besides this I found a pool of water under the middel of the car. Not to fond of it, but to my research and knowledge this seems to be from the climate control?

This morning the roof gave an error trying to open it on a steep driveway. When I relocked it into closed position manually the error cleared and it has worked since with no issues (open and close takes the 10 seconds it should). Could this be an indication of missing fluid in the roof motor?

Besides these small kinks, it has really been flawless and is growing on me. So much that I sprung for a set of cupholders that I installed this evening. Very easy job I must admit.

First season nearly done. Got a deal on some used 18” wheels and couldn’t refuse.
Now running 9x18” ET35 rears and 8x18” ET35 fronts.
Overall good condition, and no rubbing so far.5F3DAC43-7065-49DD-AA88-F8E4199D65D0.jpeg92E66205-14F2-4BFC-B0BD-AB4E85F02642.jpeg2BEA536A-21DA-4287-8F43-ACAEA23714E6.jpeg32640455-9C11-4182-B5B4-437D977808C4.jpegC2188491-A38B-4E68-B196-DA5312BD8BF3.jpeg

Well the new wheels certainly fill the arches out width wise, but it looks like you have room for a couple of illegal immigrants to hide up in the rear arches.
Maybe it needs lowering, but to my eye those rear tyres look seriously stretched. Perhaps a better fitting tyre would fill that arch gap a bit too?

Definately agree that they are stretched (and even to far). Don’t really get that fashion, right now I just fitted them to make sure they didn’t rub.
(It’s sitting on the m-sports suspension, and not that keen on making it lower, as groundclearence on speedbumps is already limited) maybe I’ll change to a bit more sidewall in the back to reduce a bit :)

Well it's going to have to 'reach out' if it wants to rub
I think a bigger sidewall may solve it...hopefully.

Excellent weather and good to have the Z4 out again. I have had it for a year now, and have decided to celebrate by getting the original center console with armrest for it.
This also catered for some work on extending the leather to it.

I have attached a few pictures from the drive today and of the leather replaced on the armrest so far.

A year on already! Car looks great and glad you are enjoying it. The wheels really suit it!

Thank you Wyldie85.
I do enjoy the spoke layout and the more aggressive profile as well. Not a fan of the stretched rears, but that can easily be sorted when I’m not busy driving it :driving:

Danish weather is a bit inconsistent these days. Woke up to this backyard this morning:

And have a carpenter comming friday to change the roof of the garage :o

Fingers crossed snow is gone when the Z is out this week. Otherwise it will need to accept the carcover in the driveway
