Hi all - i keep seeing a list of modifications on your car descriptions, what do they all mean - stubbies, sound gen etc.

also - my face lift z4 roof motor has failed twice - i see lots of 1st gen roof motor problems - but no face lifts - the second one failed 14mths after the last one was replaced

also - my zed dosent always just snick into first gear - it takes a couple of attempts - any one with similar experiances ?



mine is a 2.5 SI black with black - and my only mild regret is that it isnt an interlagos blue "m" with linen interior (if any one is selling one...)
 
Hi Chris, most of the basics are covered HERE

The sound generator is a pipe which plumbs induction noise into the cabin. The sound is deadened by foam, which can be removed. This creates more engine noise in the cabin, whilst keeping things quiet outside the car. Do a quick forum search and you'll find lots more. They were only available on 3.0 Z4s
 
the sound generater sounds like a cool mod - what a shame that isnt on the 2.5

thanks for the blue "m" link - it does need a light interior too though

You can easily retro fit on a 2.5 pre facelift :thumbsup:

I believe that facelift models can be retro fitted too :)
