definitely a result!

The Zs do have an intentional bit of engine noise piped into the cabin, for that sportier feeling (there's a thread on it active at the moment, somewhere around here!).

I moved from a mini cooper s convertible to the Z and my missus wasn't happy about it at all... that is until I pulled up outside her work to pick her up ... had a big smile on her face then!

I think I got a really good deal too. My car was a late '07 E92 330 Msport auto with a few toys but no nav (heated seats, folding mirrors etc). They gave me £19,200 trade in against the Z4, and dropped the Z4 to £17500. I was surprised as parkers has the E92 trade-in at barely 17k, and a dealer price for a 56 coupe at about 18.5k

So you walked away with £1,700 in your pocket also?

not quite. Couple of hundred for tax, and I took out the tyre insurance. And I had some finance to settle. Cost me about £18k in the end, but would have cost me about £19 to settle the finance, so I was about £1k up on where I woudl have been (was planning to settle the finance on my 330 anyway)

my wife refers to it as 'the platypus'. she's not a fan of the looks.

Having said that, she drives a black focus she calls 'the cockroach'
