Newbie with Cooling Issues...

Thanks for all the advice guys,

I had all the undertray off scrutineering, looking for leak and couldn't find jack sh*t.

So, off to the garage it went, confirmed likeley head gasket, pressure issue with coolant, etc.

Then it behaved completely, ran up to temp fine, didn't loose a drop of bloody coolant.

So, popped in some K-Weld stuff, in the hope it would resolve any issue, and it's been fine for the last week or so.

And now it's back to it's old tricks, last night, no heat through air vents, lost about 500ml of coolant.

On the plus side, the garage uses a luminous coolant, so I'm sending it back to the garage for them to have a look...

If it is the head gasket though, I've been told to expect to pay around 1k, (and that's with £35/hour labour) or 1500 + if the head has cracked or warped too much...

Think I might have to bust out the tools and do it myself to keep costs down.

shame it appears to be the worse case scenario .
you would have to now assume the seller (private or garage) was aware of the problem . b4rstewrds
best of luck with the solution now you are onto the problem
