Newbie here. Fancied a car for the nice weather, was thinking about a Porsche Boxster but I had concerns it may not fit in the garage, and plus the IMS bearing worried me!

Anyway, I recently bought this 3.0 manual Z4. Lots of receipts over its lifetime all in a folder along with a recent MOT, and I have counted 4 dings and a couple of tiny scratches (I may see if I can machine polish them out)

Already been tinkering, fixing some parts that I was not happy with, plus fitted new number plates with my personal reg.

I am in the Midlands, any meets coming up? I want to bounce some characteristics of some of you to see if this is how z4’s are. :D

Welcome to the forum Chris, and virtual bonus points for a photo in your first post.

Shame you just missed out on Ultimate BMW at Gaydon on 28 April - we had about 30 Z4s there. Although it might as well have been called M3 fest.

My other passion is Vauxhall’s (but that is dwindling after a number of years!) and have a number of friends from all over the country from that scene, so I will be heading to Gaydon in August for VauxAll in my wife’s 2019 Astra K and have a good catch up.

I like to go to Caffeine & Machine, The Motorist, and Market Harborough for regular car meets and a good mix of cars.

I also own a VW Golf GT 2.0 TDi DSG for daily duties and normally long runs to see family and friends in Kent, as it’s so good on fuel.
