Newbie with a serious tuning disorder.

When do you think it might be running Steve? Ps that Imprezza motor looks pure evil! what was the output?
I was hoping to have it up and running for our road trip in June, but think it's going to take a bit longer than thought. I've just got the car back from Stainless Creations and Wow! Stunning work from Graydon the owner of the company, pics to follow.
As from the Impreza it's a 3.6 flat six with twin 30R turbos , custom everything running a bar of boost low setting and 1.6 max. Power figures are 752bhp and 700ft/lbs at 1bar and around 950/900 at 1.6. Very impressive power plant and now fitted with a Samsonas sequential 6 speed box capable of letting us running the motor to 2.0/2.2 bar of boost. Possibly 1100bhp!!!!
I've just finished another identical engine but will be running larger turbo's! These power figures are getting very serious and I'm very concerned about how these cars are being used and how capable the owners are at driving something that has twice the power to weight a Veyron has!!!!

just found this thread, you sir, are a true tuning hero !!
Thanks Lightning. BM's aren't my normal bread and butter, You'll probably see Impreza tuning my down fall, but I'm thoroughly enjoying tweaking my Z4 for my own personal enjoyment

Managed to get the car on the lift and take a few pics.668C5402-0805-4631-9160-C7D53EE5E5AA_zpsttbrnp0j.jpgB1F93580-4A82-433E-A6D7-D7D3AD5315F7_zpshpeisilk.jpg3af4c260d979bcdbee74800132a0bb07_zps51c38030.jpg3e9a88e83124a909a72dff2b72c4226f_zps99dee204.jpgddbc99339c700fd9e50d823c3bd6922c_zpsa0044650.jpg
Think we've managed to create the factory look of a Z4M.

Wow - that exhaust takes 'oooo - shiny 8) ' to a whole new level

Did you remove all the heat shielding though ? I'm sure mine has more around the tunnel the exhaust runs down :?

Seeing that extra chunky positive wire so close to your exhaust makes me cringe... :poke: please tell me that's not finished?

Hi guys. There's lots missing from the underside including the battery box and heat shields. They will need to be tweaked, I seem to remember there's a guy on the forum that managed to cut down his battery box and keep it fairly stock looking. Think I'll try something similar.

I'm sure you'll manage fine with your LSD, loads of helpful members within the community to sort out any issues.
Your car will be transformed when fitted and you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner. ENJOY!

The level of engineering going into this is mind blowing - can't wait for the finished article, keep the updates coming Steve
Thanks GP, progress has taken a back seat this last couple of months or 3. Very busy time of year for me as race season approaches way too quickly. Lots of very interesting projects around the workshop just now and doesn't seem to be easing!
Next item for modding is the prop, which needs shortening as the whole drive train sits further back than 3.0 and 6speed. Surely a step in the right direction with weight transfer? Once sized the engine and box come out and everything will get blasted and powder coated. Engine and box will be cleaned and made ready for final installation.
