I am drooling all over this. I am planing to spend the next 20 years playing with my car. And learning some of what you seem to know so I can do something similar one day. Well done you

What happened to the 3 point plan Mat :?

1) get car fettled
2) get car sold

Yeah I still think about that!!! But mine could get a couple of turbos and about 400bhp next year. Still cheaper than an M and a fair bit quicker!!!

This is top modding porn .. :-) Superb, I love it!

What have you had to do to the front suspension/damping and brakes to take account of the extra weight?
My car already has the Motorsport suspension so for now just springs. Brakes is what I'm also working on, they are Brembo 8pot calipers from a RS6 and I have 362mm performance friction rotors.5c44cf675fc49575b1933bb929bd1c99_zpse140143c.jpg
Once I've sorted them out and working I may look at fitting a set of Alcon pro drive calipers and rotors from Petter Solberg's rally car I have :D

Got any other rotors and callipers like that knocking about???
Eh no, these weren't easy to come by. Also looking like its not going to be the cheaper option, off the shelf would be simpler. I never seem to take the easy route.

Another wee mod to the fuel rail, Barry my mate tig welded a dash6 stainless fitting to it. This allows braided lines throughout.507D86CC-5C53-4F67-BE7E-25A1512F769F_zpsbloisy8q.jpg

Just powered up my 2nd hand Z4M clocks to make sure they work, and just noticed the top speed is only 190mph :x Sure un restricted M5's can do 205mph, least the rev counter reads 9000rpm. Kohler racing maps these engines with a 9200rpm limit :o 5EC067B4-F1F0-4978-BEB5-D85D1219B0BD_zps7oozcqxv.jpg

An unrestricted M5 WILL do over 200mph....

I would estimate the needle will be near your trip meter. :P
Mmmm not to sure if I'd want to be pushing a Z4 roadster to those limits

Not taken anymore pics as I'm still working through all the plumbing and not much to show yet. There still seems masses to finish on my to do list, but I'm getting there. Once the water side is completed I'll be able to start assembling the front panel to the car. That should be fairly easy as all the mock up was done before powder coating. Once fitted I can finish of the oil side and that just about completes all the systems.
Then the wiring which I'm hoping should be not to difficult.
