Thanks for the welcomes guys. You have all got some nice looking motors yourselves. Trying to fight the modding urge!!

You can hold out for a while but in all honesty its futile mate , just get a budget in mind of how much you are happy to spend on "tweaks" & " mods" then forget all about it :P this is a bad bad place at times

I know what you mean mate. Every car I get I promise myself I won't touch it, tell myself manufacturers spent endless time and money making the car how it is etc etc.. Never works though. My tact this time is to take it small and slow. Little things every now and then. Keep the car sweet and keep me interested!

Welcome along! Looks like you have a similar mindset to me! I have been urging temptation to modify mine in any way shape or form. Only got as far as the wheels soo far so not doing too badly!

welcome to the exclusive coupe club :)

whats the dash, aluminium, piano or leather?
Hello Taz, The dash is leather. Black (I actually think its anthracite but not 100% sure) with a red strip top and bottom. The trim was one of the biggest attractions of this particular car. I imagine its not to everyone's taste though!

you first mod is very cheap, its a stubby :)

I agree!! Is there any type in particular guys on here go for? I was thinking of a shorter aerial but not quite a stubby. Like a hand held radio look type of thing? I've got a black anodized stubby somewhere which \i'll try to give me an idea.

Then get rid of the tin top :fuelfire:

 I was waiting for that at some point. Didn't expect it so quickly!!

Couldn't resist!

I went for a 3 inch mango walk stubby from eBay and it looks great. Was only a tenner I think. There are a few others people like to go for though.

Can't find any Mangowalk ones on eBay at the moment but have looked on their site. I think the 4 inch one would do me nicely. Would have preferred rubber over aluminium though. Match the window rubber. Obviously I've put way too much thought into this!! Is the reception any good?

I think this is the one I went for. Only issue with these are that they come from the states so take a while to arrive. There is a Pug one that looks good also and a BMW sports one I think.

Hello Ricardo. I've started with wheels before! Then brakes looked too small... Gap under arches too big... You know how it goes!! Hoping this is my time for reform!!

Thanks for that. Looks good!

Welcome - that's a lovely looking car, even for a coupé.

You totally came to the wrong place for rehabilitation though. I'd never modded a car in my life until I joined this lot, or even been a member of a forum. I've managed a year without doing anything serious to my current zed, but I'm getting the itch again

Welcome to the forum, and the exclusive coupe club  Black and red is a great combo, mines red on the outside and black on the inside though. I have a leather dash, in red, looks great. Good luck with resisting the mod-temptation. I love my coupe as it is, because it's only a couple of weeks old ... but I can see some wallet emptying in the future. Enjoy!

Thanks Bing! I'm starting to get the feeling soft tops are more popular here!!

Hi Stuart. The coupe club does indeed seem exclusive, though I'm yet to work out if that's a good thing on this forum!! As Jonny pointed out the red black combo is sexy! Nice looking car you've got. Red coupes seem to be extremely rare.

Hi and welcome Raj

Nice looking car that you're about to spoil. RIP whippy aerial!

Enjoy :driving:

Cheers RickRob! I'm going to say something controversial... The standard aerial doesn't offend me too Much!! :o
