Newbie to BMW from Fife

Hello all!

First time with a BMW and liking it so far. My budget constrains were leaning me towards a 2.0/2.2 but when I seen this local 2.5i, I jumped at it. I've had a Porsche Boxster S for less then a year and sold last June due to various reasons but i needed a toy again and I am pleased with this so far!

Most of the niggles are cosmetic, it's had a new power steering rack and new roof motor and relocated. So a good basis but mostly...I just need to get out and drive the thing!

[ref]Pbondar[/ref], Thanks mate. It makes a nice noise and my 4 year old daughter loves it. She's asked if I'm keeping it forever!

Welcome to the Z madness!!!! Good looking car you have there. Now you need to keep it so can pass on to your daughter when she is old enough.

Hello and welcome, another Scottish member

Looks nice and clean an I hope you enjoy many miles in it :driving:

Just a word of warning, there’s a few strange members on here from Fife but the worst candidate is easily identifiable by his username

I'm sure you should but just make sure you replace that stubby for a whippy before any social interactions!

Looks very shiny. Enjoy your new toy and welcome to the forum.

Thank you. Its shiny but the front wings are corroded, a few bits on the rear wings too...it's also reversed into a post at some point! But all just cosmetic!

Wheels really suit the car/colour combination, looks like its been well looked after

I was originally wanting some Style 108's but I really like the clean look of these. They're Style 189's. Not perfect history but well looked after indeed.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It looks like you have found a pretty clean example too. I like 5 spoke wheels on BMWs, but as pretty as 108s are they always seem to end up suffering from the lacquer lifting around the bolt heads and a refurb tends to get expensive as they need to be "split" for a proper job, and some of the bolts usually shear................!

Welcome, a much easier car to maintain than the Boxster and quite a different drive. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

Welcome to the forum, that's a lovely looking zed you have, enjoy  Hopefully we might also get to see you and your zed at one of the Scottish meets :driving:

Hi they, welcome to the forum.
I had black z4 as my first z too, good choice. Enjoy.

Also a fan of the Stubby aerial, they just look neater, but don't dislike the original"whippy", just think they are longer than they needed to be, lol.

Thankfully not long until restrictions ease up some.
Happy motoring :driving:
