have been thinking lately of replacing the Lexus SC430 with a newer Z4 and would like to say a big thankyou to all who have posted on this forum as you have pretty much answered all the questions that I have on these cars.
Really surprised to read about the spring issue but at least I can check this out now as I would not normally go poking around underneath a prospective purchase looking for broken springs !
Also pleased to see the positive comments about the auto 'box on the 2.5 model as this is the desired combination if I can find it.
Perhaps I should add that yes I do have all my marbles in the right place and yes I did buy a Lexus SC430 in the full knowledge that they are the worst car ever made ( the idiot Clarkson pronounced it so it must be so).Personally I found that once you ditch the run flat tyres and put a strut brace on they are quite nice cars. Perhaps I should also add that I am an OAP.
Ironically it seems the dreaded 'run flats' are an issue on the Z4 as well.
Anyway,my beloved other half has given her blessing ( provided it comes with heated seats ) and I am looking forward to owning a real rag top again.
Thanks again
