Newbie ... some questions ... situation normal ...

Hi,

I've just bought a (facelifted) 2007 2.5 SE - mid life crisis in full flow I guess ! It's a bit of a pain as I've had it a week now, and *still* haven't had the roof down :( I have a question to ask about retrofitting stuff ... my car is pretty standard at the moment.

From what I can work out from other posts on here it seems it is possible to add a cruise control. From what I understand I need one of these http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/61316940989/ and one of these http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/61120411248/.

Is that *really* all I need ? I can't believe it's as easy or as cheap as that !

Here's hoping the weather gets better soon !

Other than that try a search.

I do hope you've not had the roof down because of rain... and aren't afraid of a little cold weather :poke: Hat, gloves, heaters, job done!

Also, best get some pics up... the natives don't like it if they don't have pics!
 
Hi Chris, and welcome, the parts you listed for CC are correct, I picked up a stork this week, just need the wiring kit which is about £18+vat.

Thanks for the welcome, and for the info about the retrofit. This must be the BMW deal of the decade !

I'll try and get some photo's up, (at least I will if the sun shines anytime soon - I haven't got any yet). On the other hand it was nice enough on Saturday to get the hood down for the first time. Just like being on my VFR * (but warmer !).

I'm sure I'll have lots more questions going forwards ...
