hi, im gareth, a self employed signwriter from south wales. looking to buy a z4 in the coming months and having a poke around the forum for advice and issues to watch out for when buying. currently driving an audi a3, but with the kids getting older, we fancy a weekend toy. thinking around 2005-07 z4 (e85 is it??) with the 2.5l engine

Yes it is the E85 that you want - the one that allows you to see the sky when you're driving.

Not that I have had another Zed, but the consensus of opinion is to go for the 3.0L, but many will say that the 2.5L is fine.

haha, so a few different opinions then. i'm old fashioned and prefer a big heavy lazy lump, to an overworked small lump, but wouldnt say no to either lol
