Newbie seeking advice

Hi I am seriously looking to purchase a Z4 and have narrowed it down to 2 possible options both with the same spec.
1. 2005 with 56k miles
2. 2007 with 89k miles

which would members recommend the lower miles or the newer vehicle. there is £700 difference

Are they both 3litre models? Edit, just seen your new post-
I'd save up a bit more & get a 3litre version, seriously-it really makes the car a whole better experience.
Why are you looking at the 2 litre? The six cylinder engines are surprisingly good on fuel.
Regards

As above Wayne- the 3.0 is surprisingly good on fuel & unless your under 21, you'd be bonkers not to get the 6 cyl

Dont discount the 2.5 6 cylinder engine. Enough power for me to handle and you may get a better spec than a similarly priced 3.0. As to your original question if you stick with the 2.0 I would go with the lower mileage older car provided there was history available.

There are lots of 2 litres out there so don't be quick to buy - take your time and have a good look about. You should be able to hold out for the colour, spec, age and mileage you want - especially this time of year.

1. Too old - plenty of 2 litres out there remember - look for a facelift (post 2006) 2.0i Sport as it comes with ///M sport suspension wheels seats and steering wheel. Multi function steering wheel, heated seats and rear parking assist, audio upgrade is worth having as well.
2. Too many miles - you'll have it to 100K in no time and then it will be worth very little.

Be patient . . . . the 2.0 litre sold well and there are lots to chose from.

I would try and avoid a 2.0l car they have a few engine issues. The 2.2 is still a good straight six engine. The 3.0l cars come with a 6 speed gear box and the si I believe in 2.5 form has a 6 speed gear box. That all helps with the economy.

I would defiantly be getting quotes on a 3.0l 2.5l and a 2.2l

Definitely try for the 3.0 ,if its insurance you're concerned about I got quotes for 2.5 and 3.0 ,the 3.0 was the cheaper . I know a number of owners that have gone for the 2.0 and regretted their decision as stated previously go for the 3.0 its a great engine. Good luck with your search .
