Newbie saying hi

Hi all

Newbie here from central Scotland.

Not yet a Z owner yet, but on the lookout for a coupe soon.

Currently drive a 2016 335d, but will soon be handing that back so I can have a weekend car again and a ratter for doing the work thing.

Been lurking in the background for a couple of days and seems like an ideal place to join for some information on the Z.

Cheers
Colin

Welcome I came from a 335d M Sport and use my Z4MC as a weekend toy as I purchased something very cheap to go 2 miles to work in and have not regretted it. The 335d was an impressive car on the motorway for racking up the miles but I felt it was boaring and lacked any real sense of occasion!

Exactly as I have found my 335d m sport
Its like your in a computer game. Effortlessly fast, but absolutely lacking in feel and occasion.

I love driving and like to know what the car is doing around me.

I'm hoping the Z4 coupe will live up to expectations

Hi and welcome - so what Zed are you looking for?
Hi its the Z4 coupe 3.0 si thats on my radar thanks

Yep classic lines - for me its just a shame it doesn't come off but that's an entirely different argument around here; enjoy your search. I'm off now before the big boys come and pick on me for having a roadster!

Haha. If it was up to my missus it would be the roadster, but with our climate it doesn't make sense up here.

Welcome to the forum Colin - a Coupe is definitely the right choice.

Just bear in mind that the UK only got just over 2,000 3.0Si Coupes so be prepared to travel, especially if you are looking for specific colours or options. And that number is for both SE and Sport models, including Autos.

Good luck finding the right one anyway.

Really dont mind travelling for the rite car.

I've even flown to London to pick up a car before, and I'd say 75% of my cars have come from down south.

Its only a small island we are on afterall

You'll be OK then - some people don't seem to want to travel far!

I live in Berkshire, but my last 3 purchases have been from Rugby, Cambridge and Rutland - and they've all been worth the trip. :)

Way I see it, the trip back lets you get a feel for the car, and if there's anything up that wouldn't normally show up on a quick test run

Look forward to the pics once you’ve bagged one

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I'll post pics and a review of the car when I get my grubbies on 1.

Had my fair share of cars so should be able to do some comparisons.

Yes I've been looking in the classified section.

Some really nice cars there to whet the appetite, and to be honest 1 of the main reasons I joined the forum, as I tend to either buy or sell on forums.

Reason being I find buyers/sellers more genuine on a forum, and also you can generally see the care taken with their cars due to their posts.
