Hi all, glad to be part of the forum...
Treated myself to a 3.0 coupe in silver with 70k and loving it..
As with anything you buy these days I've had a few problems over the first few months that were easy enough to sort out..
The last one I had was cylinder 1 coil pack that failed but was easy enough to replace..
But now I've got another prob I want to pick your brains with..
With all the rain we have had recently I was driving in the dark and didn't notice a load of standingwater across the road and ploughed through it.. It may just be coincidence but shortly after I've been getting a mis fire at low revs in higher gears? It's fine on tick over.. Thought maybe water had got in somewhere? And where would you check? The engine bay was dry and didn't seem to have had any signs of water on it. Or could it be another coil pack on its way out?
Any ideas would be appreciated

Might be good to buy or have access to an OBD2 scanner to check for codes and see if anything comes up. No harm to remove the coils as well and use compressed air to blow out the wells in case any water did end up there.

Welcome and looking forward to seeing pics of your coupe.

Mmmm maybe retrace the coil pack you changed first as this was the last thing done?

If one went possibly another?

As above though a cheap scanner may quickly throw some light on the issue

Ps welcome and good choice

Thanks for that.. I think it's a good idea for the future to get a code reader. I haven't had any management lights come up though for this prob, will one still read underlying issues?
I'll get some pics up soon :)

For what they cost its probably worth replacing air filter if you think it may have taken in some water :?

Welcome to the Forum. Alas I'm not much help with gremlins. As you say water in there somewhere.

Thought I'd just finish the post off saying it's all sorted now thanks.. Bit the bullet and changed all the coil packs and everything running great.. Actually running that well a pheasant wanted to check it out at 60 mph..... New front grill ordered grrrrrr

Be glad it wasn't a wet Pheasant, would probably have aimed straight for the coil pack.
