Newbie saying Hello

Hi there,

Just thought I'd say hello. I'm a newbie around here and made my way over here through a few recommendations on PistonHeads. I have placed a deposit on a 07 Imola Red Z4MR. It has covered 29,000 miles, has full service history and is immaculate. It is reasonably specced too with Nav and HiFi stereo. I pick up the car on the 25th of this month as I am currently working out in Brazil. It is going to bea long long 2 weeks. I sseriously cannot wait to get my hands on her. It's my first BMW and first M car. :-)

That is mine and many others favourite colour combo. Your car is going to be lusted after on hear.

All zeds are great but to me you have just brought the very bet they made. And low miles perfect.

Welcome along, you've saved me money ! Been thinking about that car for a month or so. Spoke with the dealer a few weeks ago & he even sounded excited about, enjoy your new car :thumbsup:

I don't suppose anybody has any links for an idiots guide to the Z4MR or something similar? Just something explaining all the features and tricks or tips etc.
 
Hello.

Can't think of a guide specific to the M but some usual topic to search would be-
Jerky gear changes between 1st and 2nd (cdv delete)
Inspection service costs
Service intervals, ie computer says xxxx miles, should also be within 2 years
1200 mile run in service (it's essential)
What tyres
where to buy csl alloys
Coupe or roadster :poke:
Sport button, use it or not. I never do.
Gruppe M induction kit, expensive but sounds nice

Love it, I always end up going back to red cars, and a warm welcome let's hope you've brought some roadster weather with you or those pale tin-toppers will be ragging us again this summer 8)
