Hi guys I'm Dane im 22 from Sheffield, just placed a deposit down on a z4 roadster on monday and hope to take delivery in the next few weeks. I'm moving from a honda civic type R to the roadster, need to grow up a little and the days of boy racer driving are over. The reason im getting a zed is last month i was at a set of traffic lights when a 44ton fully loaded truck failed to stop and ran straight into the back of me and my type r and therefore its gone to the scrap cemetary. I received an offer for my car this week, after it was assesed by both insurers and the third party admitting full liability. therefore my deposit went down on this stunning zed and should have the money in my bank within the next two weeks.

HERE IS A LINK TO THE ONE IVE PURCHASED: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150623894109?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp5197.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D150623894109%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

OBVIOUSLY i went to view the car and test drove it before purchasing through ebay and managed to struck a deal of £7800 for cash which for the condition, on owner and service history and milage, i think is a good deal... what do you guys think?? i know it wont compare to the type R in speed but its a lot more grown up and luxury over speed is now the key! anyone from sheffield on here too? any tips i need to know about now im the owner of a zed?

Regards, Dane

Welcome along. I had a type r before the zed, I miss the manic redline performance bit the zed is better car all round!

Welcome to the forum Dane, lovely Z :D

hey guys thanks for the replies... hey lucy... :-) so any tips or things i should know about the zed? cant wait to pick it up... think i paid a good price for it??

Hi Dane welcome  I drive to Sheffield on a regular basis to see my dad, you have some nice roads round your way :driving:

Welcome and what a nice looking motor, those wheels look very good with the black. And don't worry about the price, some might say it's strong but I don't think it's OTT. I expect it cost £25k plus new? a clean one owner low mileage, well maintained and presented prestige sports is never going to sell under book, but if kept well it will always be desirable 8)

You will find lots of owners suffer irrational urges to go driving for no good reason, use back roads but somehow still get their just as fast, slow down when passing shop windows, turn off the stereo change down and boot it when going through tunnels, clean perfectly presented paintwork, spend hours looking at wheel catalogues, worry about the size of their 'stubby', whether to keep their French fries and how to retro-fit kit. I love it, all great stuff and welcome to the Zed

I posted about my first years ownership experience which might be interesting
