Hi!
I bought my Z4 last month and i am still on the procedure of discovering little annoying things the previous owner never took care. Since here in Greece every garage asks whatever the owner needs and since everyone here in Greece is always in need of alot...I am trying to fix everything i can on my own since i am used to DIY procedures and save for the bigger stuff.
So.... It is in my belief that the previous owner used to leave coins and other similar stuff at the space provided by bmw under the handbrake. As a result the color of the plastic gray parts under the handbrake has faded. My question is whether it is possible to repaint those parts with a specific spray or paint instead of buying new ones. I want them to look OEM and not cheaply painted pieces of plastic. If this is possible can you tell me what kind of paint and which color i need to use to get the desired effect?
Another thing i noticed is that when the roof is open ( by open i mean i am on roadster mode
) there is a wierd kriking noise that comes from the place that the soft top locks when open between the back of the 2 seats. I believe that with a little bit of lubricant inside the lock the problem will be solved but i don't know neither if i am right nor what kind of lubricant to use ( don't get the wrong idea 8) ).
Third thing i noticed is that the driver's seat krieks on its left side where the back part of the seat connects with the seat part of the seat if you know what i mean
I know that this is dew to usage of the seat and that all seats eventually start making these sounds but is there a way to either temporarly or permanently fix it?
That's all i guess. I am sure i will find more minor stuff to fix because i want it to be a perfect car.If there is anyone who knows anything about the prementioned problems and who is willing to help i am all ears
