Newbie possible daft question.

Just bought a 2006 z4 3.0si, absolutely love it to bits. A couple of problems, the CD changer worked temporarily but has now given up completely, just showing No Magazine on the display. The cartridge won't eject etc. is there an easy fix ?
Also it has a light in the passenger footwell but this does not work, I took the panel off and there is no connecting wire, was this an optional extra my car didn't have. The drivers side works fine. Any suggestions please.

Mine got stuck a couple of months ago & I used the tap the changer with a screwdriver technique & it worked. Has been working OK ever since although I expect it will eventually die.

My last zed had the same problem, didn't do anything about it as it had an aftermarket head unit (previous owner told me about the problem)
I know it's common though.

same as above had to give mine a firm tap with the handle end of a screwdriver aswell .....but did the trick

Try spraying the the CD trays with a silicone based house polish, it's kept mine running OK for ages now

Thanks, will try but it seems dead, no mechanical noises etc. checked the fuse all ok so may try to get it out and replace ?

I'm experiencing exact same issue. Screwdriver technique hasn't worked on mine!
