Hello all. Ive been only a short time lurker and ive already took the plunge and purchased a Z4C 3.0l Sport in Midnight Blue. Im still to pick the car up as its having some bits done to it but i should have it hopefully later next week.

The car looked very clean/well looked after when viewed both inside and out. Its been purchased from a prestige car dealer which said they would get an MOT and service carried out. It has unfortunately failed the MOT on one of the rear springs (which there is no history of being replaced before) and one of the front ball joints. That said they are getting there repairs sorted (which has delayed me picking the vehicle up :( ), the front bumper resprayed to remove a few relatively minor stone chips and one of the rear tyres replaced due to a screw being in it.

The tyres are the standard bridgestone run flats so i think ill run these for a few months through the winter (i wont get to drive the car much during this time due to work commitments) and then look to replace them as soon as possible. I have previously run Yoko AD08's on my previous vehicle which i really rated. Im not sure if i should go for another set of these for the Z or look at Eagle F1's.

I would also like to have a dual exit (quad) exhaust although it doesnt look like from what i have read this is the easiest to achieve :(

My other future plans are to have it lowered (possibly coilovers should i find a set that is relatively street friendly), another set of 18" wheels to change the 108's on there now, CRV mod, braided brake lines, yellow stuff pads, possibly grooved discs and maybe some sort of diffuser.

Any advise on any of the above welcomed. Ill get some pictures up and give you a bit more about my background in due course

No i was a little gutted when i got the call today. However at least i know they MOT is legit and they are getting the repairs done. I was just a little worried about if the other spring was probably on its way out but having said this i dont intend to keep stock springs for too long.

I hope it's exclusive as you suggest it's been pretty hard to let to of my old car.

Don't worry pictures will follow as soon as I've got it and it's been detailed ;)

I seen the mstyle site but I haven't seen great things about the exhausts from what I've read :(

The was a few things I've missed off my list. Sound generator mod will probably be one of my first ;)

Ill take a look at the coilovers mentioned. What sort of prices they retail at? I ran tein super streets on my old car and I thought they worked very well albeit it you certainly felt the bumps/creators on our british roads.

Midnight Blue Metallic

E86 3.0si SE = 7
E86 3.0si Sport = 61
E86 M Coupe = 17

Total = 85

is that exclusive enough? :)

Welcome to the Forum

Like you I'm waiting for my Zed whilst it's being tended to - it's frustrating. . .

3.0si upgrade from my 2.0i Sport (Roadster - don't have a big enough can opener)

Some wonderful reports on the coupe - what car is it replacing?

:driving:

Thanks for the warm welcome 8) I hope I fall in love with this car as much as my last ones and I think that sounds pretty exclusive.
My old vehicle had a fair amount of work and modifications done to it although I never went over board as although I wanted something unique I didn't want to lose the look of the car.

Well he's a bit of my back ground...

Ive always been a bit of a petrol head from a very early age. First off having bikes (before cars) one of which a Blue and White GSXR600 which was sadly stolen. After this I purchased an MR2 Roadster around 5-6 years ago. It was completely stock and i intended to keep it that way until i joined another forum relative to that car. I was invited to become a moderator and elected as part of the committee. There i have picked up a massive wealth of information and decided that i wanted to make the car my own. This resulted in many £1000's being spent but i certainly dont regret any of it. They are great little cars, probably slightly under powered as stock but still great fun and it turned into something pretty special with everything id done to it. The mods lists is too long to mention.

The cars taken my a good few miles and many places including France x 3 times, Isle of Wight, Germany x 2 times (Nurburgring :driving: ) Its been pretty painful taking apart 5-6 years of development and work and the decision wasnt taken lightly. But for a number of reasons it was time for a change.

The previous car had a turbo conversion so it by no means had stock power output with pretty much over double the stock torque levels. That said i wasnt pushing silly power through it. As you've asked about the previous motor and obviously because i was pretty proud of it  ill upload some photos

For anyone who might be interested. The car has been returned almost to stock but still with a lot of smaller mods left on and its currently up for sale

Welcome to the forum.

Quads are easy to achieve it just depends how much you want to spend.

Some have gone for the M rear bumper while others have cut their existing bumper.
