Newbie Photos!! (Finally) And a few questions please! :)

Not too made considering - £1100? Which I thought was a good price, bearing in mind if I had kept the KA it would've been £600!!

Tell the guy who parked that Green Thing next to you to park further away !

You can't be too careful..

Cheers and welcome
Bumpy

Hi Emma... welcome to the gang

lovely looking Zed you have there :) and all the help on here to make it just as you want it - although you seem to be doing great already :)
Just watch out for the ££££s as it gets addictive

Enjoy :driving:

Welcome to the forum Emma, lovely car

I wouldn't worry about the wheels too much for now - nearly winter, salty horrible roads... Maybe best to have less desirable wheels on. I have them as winter wheels for my car, they're not so bad

As for badges, if you want originals then best getting them from Sopers BMW in Lincoln - call their parts department and ask for Mark or Jamie and tell them you're a member of the forum. You'll get a discount, 10 or 12%. Original indicator badges will come with adhesive already on the back, really easy to fit.

Bumpy - I now park the furthest away I possibly can to anything to avoid the cretins that cant park :poke:

Yes Gargy - its a slightly different feel to the 70bhp KA

Im looking after my pennies already Caemon! Thats why I have an essential list (aka the badges, ashtray etc) and the dream-on list (aka new alloys etc!).

Still want to get the private plate as one of the first things - that along with the badges, I reckon itll transform the car like magic

Im liking all these ideas though - Everyone has differnet opinions and in a forum its going to be never ending money spending in my head! :fuelfire:

Thanks for advice Bing :) - will give them a ring and see what they can do for me!

Im going to have a busy lunchtime £££

I dont want to go silly with it all, I just want to make her look the best she can and in the best condition - anything to enhance her!

I have to take pride in her now I have a decent car

A nice car indeed.

I went from a Clio to a Z4 so not far off you :D

Quite close to a couple of us also being in Farnborough!

Shall expect to see you at meets eventually, one occurring in November!

Bing - been wondering where to get those myself to thanks also :P

Hmmm, probably should have caveated what I said about badges with... Don't expect eBay prices - I asked about a full new set - two sides, front, back and four wheel caps - and the total was £140 including VAT. However, I am going to do it because I've faffed about with c/f badges from eBay that need fettled and stuck on and whilst they look good I simply can't be assed doing it all again :D

Disca, you want any OEM parts (rather than second hand or eBay) then I'd always go to Sopers. They do a great deal, but also their service is second to none and delivery is very fast... All of their P&P is free too, at least on the smaller items I have bought from them.

Nice car! welcome to the club...

+1 for Sopers of Lincoln for parts, happens to be right by my parents place so when i visit home i have an excuse to buy things ;)

Also i'm with Bing on the wheels, keep em over winter and look at something like 224s maybe for the new year. Get yourself a stubby too, something like this thread: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3095

Spoke to Sopers and they quoted £27.30 each. Not sure if this is good but ill at least know its genuine BMW!

Noted about the wheels! No money to replace them now anyway :(

Jimmy bell have done stubby already. Looks so much better now...

:D

I have changed my indicator badges if I can find them you can have. For the princely sum of postage.

As for the gear knobs when I start making them again they will be £40 £30 for the handbrake handle and the matching radio knobs a £10 a pair or £5 individually.

ROFL....
He's right though!

Car looks superb. I kind of wish I'd been a bit pickier when I got mine. I love it but the centre console has a couple of cracks which irritate like buggery!
