Newbie owner :D with no bluetooth audio :(

Hi All,

Just got my new zed today and thought I'd mention an issue I had with an aspect of the audio in case anyone else has the same requirements.

Love the car, a 28, it's grey with the walnut interior and stripey wood, looks good together.

I ordered the advanced bluetooth audio but did not go for the drive nav/display as it seemed rather expensive for a navigation system which was no better than my tomtom, but ymmv.

However, I expected to be able to play audio from my iphone over bluetooth but this did not work, the salesman and I and various experts could not get this to function and eventually I was told that it only works when ordered with the idrive/media system, although the telephone cradle function is usable.

Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else was expecting to function differently.

I also got the professional (14) speaker system which I have a question about for another post.

One thing I did want to say and forgot to mention is why I didn't put any piks up, partly because the weather's not great and partly because of all the pictures I saw before getting my own, which simply don't do this car any justice at all.

The zeds are sooo much better looking in the flesh than any pictures I've seen. Together with the much better than often reported handling, I'm really astounded these cars aren't more popular than they are

It's not just you! Just picked up my new Zed two days ago and can't get this sorted either. I have the full media system option and their appears to be an audio Bluetooth pairing option but can't seem to get it going. Dealer says it's the audio for phone and not music but I have doubts he's 100% sure what's he's on about.

I'm still settling in to it and trawling forums so if I find a solution will post or link to.

Did you order the advanced bluetooth option as well?

I couldn't find any setting on the radio that allowed me to select audio over bluetooth, neither could the dealer.

The phone seems to function as expected however.

I'm very surprised yours is not working if you ordered the idrive display as well, pretty sure it's an advertised function,mots even in the user manual!
