Airbag light can be re-set
No idea about headlights - weird...
You only have one fog light - driver's side - the other is part of the brake force lighting (they both light in addition to the brake lights when you brake really hard). Have you checked the bulb ? You need to take the light unit out to change the bulb... Not sure about the dash light
Parking sensors may not be wired up, which leads me to...

Do you know whether it started life as a 3.0i or a 3.0Si ? The pre-2006 cars have different rear lights, and possibly a different wiring loom, which may have foxed the previous owner when he upgraded. May affect lights and steering wheel. Also, the body shop that did the conversion may Simply not have plugged the PDC in, or it may not originally have been specd with it and he didn't care :headbang:

I could be talking crap about the loom - but people like ranski know loads about this sort of thing :thumbsup:
 
Welcome. Nice colour love it! Would move the ///M badges off but you'll probably hear that a lot and clearly bright orange signals that your a bit of a non conformist anyway lol!

thanks for that mate i will check tomorrow, i think its a 3.0si but i will double check this, ive found ranski's write up on the headlight conversion, it looks to me like the guy i bought it off has just fitted xenons and without changing the wiring in the plug :headbang:
 
I think I read somewhere that the rear lights are wired into a module? From reading the manual previously I remember reading that the instrument cluster would let you know if a bulb was blown (presumably through this lighting module). Might be worth tracing wire back to module to check if it's plugged in, then test for voltage when it's switched on

Is it actually an '04 that's been facelifted? If so, don't the rear lights have to be wired up differently? That could account for why the fogs aren't working.... Airbag light also sounds like it could be due to the seat change to the M Seats.... may need a different occupancy sensor perhaps.

It does sound like the previous owner tried to do all the mods without reading the forum 'how tos' first... :telloff:

hi yes its an 04, i'll check the seats tomorrow, the wiring to the rear lights has been altered but i think he's got the fog light wrong, he definitely didnt read the how tos on here, thanks for the advice!
 
Never mind hopefully a few simple things will have it back to tip top, some good people with lots of knowledge here :thumbsup:
 
Fortunately there's a great car under there, so the previous owner hasn't just slapped lipstick on a pig. If you have a little more patience than him and use this place it will be fine in no time :thumbsup:

yeh im not too bothered, i would have still bought it, but i wouldn't have payed as much! its just going to take a bit of time to sort out, but i like a challenge and the how tos on here are going to help me alot :thumbsup:
