newbie need advive

my name is dave and looking for some buying tips.
I'm looking to buy a 3.0 dct model.
got a good budget so do i go dealer route and get a warranty or go private and possibly get it a bit cheaper.

any advice appreciated

Hi Dave,

If you know what you're doing when buying cars then why not go private? More bang for your buck, with so many dodgy dealers and even main dealers just plain lying through their teeth on 2nd hand cars you don't always get what you think. You can buy an independent warranty if you want one, and a 3 litre E89 shouldn't have any major faults. Unless new I go private every time, be careful, choose the owner on location and attitude and you will pick a peach up for a lot less than from the middleman. There are genuine good sellers out there if you know what you're doing IMHO.

thanks for the reply john i am leaning towards private seen a nice one on AT
for 22500 with 18k on her and all the toys I'm very tempted
but not in a hurry to buy yet.
to be honest i not driven one yet just love the look of them and I've got a itch that needs scratching
