Loving it so far. My mechanic friend had a small inspection before I bought it and said it's a really solid car, which is great to hear

Does need a few things doing i.e. condensation in the passenger light etc

Has done 144K, which although is quite high, the price I paid for it more than made up for it (£2,200!)

Coming from a mk1 MX5 Eunos, is like night and day. Yes the MX5 is probably better in the tight twisties, but the Zed just feels much more luxurious and better put together (anyone wanna buy a very cheap MX5?)

Does have a small issue, the dreaded 2 (orange DSC & orange brake) lights together, but it's just the brake sensor and the dealer is sorting it out next week, result!

Also the interior light doesn't work, but the diagram in the BMW manual shows a different light, with 3 buttons.

Mine looks like this, with just a single button, upon pressing does nothing. Am I missing some kind of trick to get it working or should I check the bulbs? Please excuse the rubbish picture, best I can do.

Going to keep it factory for the time being, but needless to say this car is awesome.

Final thing, it has this gearknob which is awesome, just wondered if anyone knew who makes it?

I keep asking my wife if she needs me to run some errands as an excuse to use the car more!

Thanks

Mark

Hi and welcome. The interior light must be the boggo standard one instead of the three light (map lights).

Never seen that knob so would suggest it’s just and aftermarket one. Look at a bmw ZHP one, much nicer.

Welcome to the Forum and congratulatuions
A nice car to get you hooked into the Zed world

A little red shoe polish into the drivers bolster wouldn't go a miss, followed by some exhaust tips
It also looks like you've a drivers door sill plate missing. All cheap little fixes that will start to make a big improvement :)

Hi and welcome.

Your car looks good, especially with red leather!

An illuminated gear knob is a bonus, although it doesn't look like a BMW one.

Welcome to the forum, it amazes me how these cars always look so good, even after quite high miles. :)
