Newbie Member and Owner at Last!

Hello All

Just to say hi with my first post after being a lurker for some time. I've been looking for my first Z4 since late spring. This forum has been so informative and highly entertaining throughout my search. In fact the buyers guide helped me avoid a couple of very dubious examples and gave me confidence to crawl all over prospective cars with a fine tooth comb!

Anyway, I'm delighted to report that as of just over a week ago, I am now the proud owner of a beautiful 3.0 e89 in sapphire black. Bought from a lovely couple who really helped the purchase process become a pleasure, the car has enforced that cliche of putting a smile on my face every time I'm behind the wheel. And that's in lousy weather. Roll in spring!

Sounds fun guys! I have to admit, having seen a few other forums (most of which appeared a bit 'stuffy') this one seems so down to Earth and with a membership of genuine enthusiasts who also have a sense of humour. Quite a rare combo!

And in the 10 days since I collected my new baby I am i danger of becoming a bit of an anorak. Clay detailing kit, two buckets with grit Guards, meguiars wash mitt, micro fibre cloths, super posh shampoos and polish all ordered at great expense. What's going on?! But as I said to the missus, I could be blowing thousands a year on golf membership. At least this way, we get to blast around the countryside with the top down together and spend some quality weekend time!

Well guys, apologies for this being a bit of a cop out, I was hoping to have some pics of my own today but the grey skies and downpours put the kaibosh on that! So, courtesy of the very lovely couple that I bought the car from, here are the photos that caught my eye and convinced me that this was 'the one' for me! A whole summer of searching and it was well worth the wait.....
