Hi Guys

Just joined, im after some views

Looking to swap from my M3 over to Z4M.

I have a couple of years left before i retire early and head off to Spain, to do this i will be getting a Range Rover Supercharged.

So i thought about getting a year in a Z4M under my belt.

Has anyone made the switch and how did you find it

Thank Mitch

Welcome, a friend of mine swapped his E46 M3 for a Z4M and he preferred his M3 but obviously everyone is different and what I like about the Z4M is that it feels that little bit more special with just the two seats and its a more involving drive imo as well as you are sat over the rear end so it just feels more dramatic.

Its open for debate but I do think the M3`s chassis is slightly more resolved than the Z4M and the M3 rides better but its certainly worth you getting out in one to see what you think. :)

A mate at work moved from an highish mileage E36 M3 to a Z4MC. He loves the Zed, says it's better in every way. But his M3 was a bit of a shed, IMO. Noisy Vanos etc. I used to take the pee every morning.

He particulary noticed the improvment in the breaks, over his M3.

I think it depends on what M3 you currently have.

Assuming it's an E46, the Z4M, as stated, is a harder ride, but definitely has a greater sense of occassion.

Give it a go

Thanks guys

Yes car at the moment is E46 M3 but pristine.

Only 30K Miles, Vert with hardtop.

Looks like it just drove out of the showroom :D

I would not let it go for less than 12k, what ever anyone says.

No one has ever sat in the back, nothing ever in the boot. The soft top has only been out in the rain about 5 times, still smells of the factory :D

Manual as well

Also has new BC Coilovers (Have original) and Pilot SS all round on new CSL wheels

Good extras Sat Nav 2014 maps, Blutooth, Heated memory seats.

FBMWH as well

I can vouch for how nice Mitch's M3 is as I've just met him at Shark Performance in Mansfield, great looking car 8)

Welcome to the forum Mitch

Thanks for the nice comments Darren.

Yours is awesome and has made my mind up for sure now.

Think i would prefer the Roadster but would need to see and sit in a coupe to rule it out.

Anyone fancy a swap

M3 Vert, Only 34K miles. It is in pristine condition.

I am only the 2nd owner

Only comes out in the summer but do also have a hard top for non summer driving.

has heated seats , OEM sat nav install with 2014 maps, blu-tooth and ipod/iphone connection.

The soft top is as new and still has the new smell from the factory, only been in the rain twice.

Leather is immaculate, no one has ever sat in the back.

Has brand new BC coilovers with new CSL wheels shod with new Pilot super sports all round.(Still have original suspension).

Engine bay looks as new to.

M3 plate will come on the car.

Loads of other good stuff

Will not let it go for less than 12K

Mitch

Real dilemma now.....

Took the car for MOT today just to be sure everything was ok for the sale.

But it sailed through not even an advisory, bloke said it looked like a 3 year old car underneath.

If i sell i don't think i can ever find the same quality of car.

you'll find the same quality. Many of us on here are very very particular about the quality of our cars.

PVR for example uses distilled water to rinse his car, so that he doesn't have to dry it, avoiding any swirl marks etc. It may be a long search, but you'll definitely find one.

Where are you shadow?

If your in East Midlands/Peak district then feel free to have a blast in mine for comparison....
