Newbie looking to get back into an M

Afternoon!

Well after selling my e46 m3 in Jan I've missed it way more than I thought.

I've looked at E60 M5s,M135is and E92 M3s but he Z4MC has always been there in my mind.

Out of all my options bar the the usual S54 quirks it feels my safest option. No throttle actuators or SMG pumps here or the depreciation of an M135i.

I'm off tomorrow to look at two cars both say West Sussex Specialist Cars. One black car which is options light and another Imola Red car which looks very very clean but a tad expensive.

I'll be using the car for the annual Nurburgring trip, some euro touring and the odd trackday. Bar that it's a garage toy.

Forum seems nice and grown up!

Hi and welcome. Where are you based?

We are fairly well behaved on here, with the odd exception

I'm based in West Malling about 10 mins from Brands Hatch.

Out of interest what's the average number of owners on a Z4M?

Welcome - I'm just down the road from you

Owners vary, but as many are 9/10 years old now I wouldn't be surprised or dismayed to find most have had at least 4 or 5, maybe more. Lots of people buy them for a bit of fun and move on relatively quickly. As long as the history stacks up I'd not worry. Good luck.

Hi and welcome.

Petworth (where West Sussex Spacialist Cars are) is just down the road from me!

Good luck with your search.

Thanks guys.

I'm expecting it to feel a bit scrabbly and uncontrolled in standard trim compared to my E46 M3. However as I understand it that's easy to sort with geometry.

Autobahners car that I spotted on here. It's an absolute credit to him!

The imola red car at WSSC was immaculate but strong money, their black one needed a lot of love.
