Hi, I'm a potential Newbie........... and introduced myself yesterday in the 'Newbie' area.
Anyway, just to repeat myself, last Sunday I wrote off my TVR on the way to deliver my Mother's Day Gift. Basically, somebody misjudged their speed coming around a tight blind corner (waterworks bend in Staffordshire) and hit me head on. After being cut out of my beloved vehicle and whisked off to Hospital under blues and twos; I was later released with 12 stitches in my head and a very very sore battered and bruised body.
Anyway, it made me think, maybe I should steer clear of cars that have no air bags and threaten to kill you at every opportunity! So, I've decided to go all sensible and buy a sports car with air bags - yep, a Z4.
I've decided on a Z4 roadster 2.5 with around £8000 to spend. Don't want to spend too much money on this car because I only need to use it once a week for work purposes and the rest will be just enjoyment, so tying up a lot of money in a car that is used sporadically cannot be justified - a lesson I learnt with the TVR. I've just been to look at a 2005 2L black with red leather interior at a local garage but it looked pretty rough and hey wanted £6890 for it with no history whatsoever!
Any good 2.5's out there for sale.
John
