Newbie looking for a Z4

The market seems to be slowing and there are bargains to be had out there.
May I suggest you ask nicely and see if there is a forum member nearby who could take a look at the car with you.

Why only 2.0i's? They don't have the best of reputations engine wise once you get to higher mileages and are only a 4-cylinder.
Maybe look at the 2.5 straight 6 engine.
Or if you go a little bit older, consider the 2.2i, also a straight 6.

I know it's a bit of a way from you, but Stuart (bigwinn) has a lovely blue one that he's completely overhauled.

It's well below your budget, which gives you a bit left over for tax and insurance.

With the greatest respect to the lady, if she is only just learning about them she may not realise the significance of all you've done to it.
Hopefully now I've directed her to the Sales pages she'll fall in love with Maldives Blue.

Mv2 wheels - ok condition, few minor scruffs
Paint - ok condition, few minor scuffs, will machine polish them for sale
Includes full set of continental winter contact tyres - good tread

Have you found out how much We Buy Any Car would give you for it? In comparison with p/x?
I think you'll get a better deal buying a forum car or similar and then selling on your other one?
If space is an issue then you could ask the previous Z4 owner to hold it for a few days?

yeah- I need to trade my car in so kinda need to go to a garage

Try motorway for quotes on your current car, part exing you will be paying a premium to a dealer for the Z4 compared to a forum car so although you may get a bit more part ex you will still pay more overall.

With the mileage you said you do, surely you can manage without a car for a short time if required?

space isn’t an issue no- I only bought the car 5 months ago for £5.5k & we buy any car are offering less than half & p/x is £3100

Like already suggested I’d be looking at a 6 cylinder rather than an early 2.0 4 cylinder
