Newbie intro - wannabe E86 3.0 coupe owner

Good evening all. Wannabe e86 3.0 coupe owner here from West mids.
I've currently got a Westfield as a weekend toy but looking for something more practical for longer road trips and something I can take my 4 year old daughter out in. Unfortunately the Westfield has to go before I can seriously start looking!!

Hi and welcome to the forum, from a Coupe owner.

When you do start looking make sure you know what model you want as there were both SE and Sport models - the latter have the highly desirable M-Sport seats as standard (they were an option on the SE).

Still, more to the point good luck selling your Westfield - you may not have chosen the best time of year to do that!

Thanks, yes I know what you mean. There is the national kit car show at the end of April so if I don't have any luck before then hopefully I can get some interest there. No wet weather gear either so now is definitely not a good time to sell!!
Yes I've read people comment on the M seats. On the sport model what else is different? Does it have the Monday suspension? From what I've read the standard suspension would be more compliant and comfortable on our roads?

Welcome to the forum. Sports seat are a definite plus. Don"t rule out the soft top E85. More choice of engines and options. Also very practical though less boot space than the coupe, (hatch back) :wink: Better value for your hard earned too and it's a pretty decent solid soft top compared to most. Any way sales pitch over. Get out and drive a few Zeds and good luck selling the little pocket rocket. :driving:

Thanks buzyg. I wouldn't rule out a soft top but really love the lines of the coupe and that you don't see many on the road. Has to be a 3.0l too having come from the performance of my Westfield. I think the z4m is probably a step too far in terms of budget and cost to run for what will be a weekend toy. Excited to get looking, frustrated it's the middle of winter with a Westfield to sell first!!
