Hi everyone. I bought a 2006 3.0si roadster in black, as a Christmas present to myself.
I have a hundred questions, but will kick off with a common one i bet. I want to set free some horses and get a better sound with an exhaust upgrade.
Budget is £750-£1000. What are my best options, considering quality and improvements?
Thank you for any help and I look forward to my first roofless summer!

Welcome  re the exhaust lots of posts on here or have a look on you tube for sound.

Power upgrades from a 3.0 you could go for the supercharger but thats gonna cost £s the only one i would spend my money on is an upgrade to an M.

Hi + welcome .Try simpson Motorsport on 01594 841299 specialists in BMW tuning and race car preparation  :

Although its difficult to squeeZe any more out of the n52 3.0 as it's very highly tuned from factory, if it isn't fast enough for you, as above, the M is the alternative

hello!

you could always do the sound mod and make it sound louder inside the cabin.... for free

You will have trouble fitting a SC to a N52 as there is no throttle body and due to it being a valvetronic engine IIRC.

Only real mod is to trade for a ///M

Hi and welcome.

N52 on the Z4 is already pushed a bit from the factory as stated over the other use of this engine.

Think I'd start with getting the handling how I liked it first but each to their own.

DOH  Forgetting i have the older M54 lump which they do a kit for lesson learned

Thanks for your posts. Got so many things I want to upgrade on it, it's difficult to know where to start. Happy with the performance but thorney ms reckon they can get an extra 15bhp out with an exhaust and re-map. Wanted the M but couldn't afford the insurance!
