Currently stationed in Iraq and just ordered a 2012 Z4 sDrive35is in Deep Sea Blue Metallic with the Design Pure Balance (Canyon Brown Extended Leather w/white stitching). Don't have a picture of the car since it isn't built yet, but here is what the computer indicates it will look like:

I've always wanted a Z bimmer since I saw the first Z3 when I lived in Savannah, Georgia. In about 6 months, when mine is built, I will finally have one. :D

A Hero in a Z4 !
Damn, all those Californian Girls will only have eyes for you !
Can you leave a few for the other guys ?

On a more sincere note ...
Keep safe cause when you get home and wrap your hands around that z steering wheel, hear that engine rumble ..feel that warm American wind blowing through your crew cut ...
blowing away the last specs of that middle eastern dust
Well you are in for a well earned treat.
And the biggest grin of your life

Looking forward to hearing about that adventure.
Hope you are getting to see New Years Eve from Time Square
Cheers John in Whitby Canada

All,

Thanks so much.

I have to say, after reading through the posts about some of the fit and finish issues and mechanical problems on their e89's, I am somewhat nervous. :?

I purchased a '84 TransAm new, and although the car was wonderful to drive, it was at the dealer more than in my possession for the first 2 years; and some things never did get squared away (like the hesitation when you stepped down on it). But when I did have it, with the T-Tops off, it was a blast to drive. :driving:

Hopefully, I won't get one of those Monday builds.

Hello and welcome

I don't think you should be to concerned with the car, remember that ths is an enthusiast forum and as such when something goes pear shaped we publicise it loudly on here. Find the positive reviews on here and concentrate on those.

Take care and be safe

Just got the VIN this week; won't be long now... :D

Are you done with your tour in Iraq, or will it arrive and be teasing you 9,000 miles away ?

Don't be nervous! I love my E89, yes I've had to get Dealer (or Stealer as they are referred to on here!) to repaint brake caliper cover, and they have given me wrong info about the servicing, but you forget that as soon as you hear the engine! You''ll love it!

Stay safe
