Think the link must have been currupted, worked for me before but not now. Try this.

Looks nice, Nottingham is quite a long way for me, until I sell my audi I'd have to pay some of the balance on a credit card, unless someone knows if I can buy private on cresit card??

Yes working now

Emmm, distances is a thing that comes up quite often on here. Because you’re buying such a niche car the chances of one turning up on your doorstep are slim. My first one was 650 miles away and the second about 470 I think

Re paying an individual by credit card the only thing I could think of is paying them via PayPal and choosing your credit card as the source for funding but I don’t know if this can be done or not, just a thought.

Yeah, been looking into that and not sure if you can use a few grand off the card, dealer is easy but If I drive 125 miles to Nottigham on a private sale I'd want to pay up and drive it back rather than go again.

More than willing to go the distance for the right one, when the audi is sold I can buy private, bank transfer and away (after sorting insurance obviously).

Talking insurance, cant believe how reasonable it is - quoted £258 for a 35is, only £30 more than my audi :D (erm without the map though  )

I’d be wanting to drive away too after travelling

I drove 100 yards out of the dealers last week and then realised I hadn’t changed the insurance :headbang: .

Pulled In and got it sorted, you’re very similar to me, the 35iS is £245 a year

Insurance must be cheaper for 2 seater cars.

I had an MR2 Turbo when the jap import scene started, cant remeber exact price but remember it was ridiculously cheap at the time. My daughter is 19 now so round about 20 years ago I had to sell it. Wished I'd kept it though as it was a perfect driving position and lots of fun.

UPDATE

Not quite there yet, I’ve dawdled for a couple of weeks but I’m convinced I'm going the right way :D

Why have I dawdled?

1. I'm in no hurry, my current car is not a problem, its fun(ish) to drive and there is far too much tread on my tyres yet. :police:
2. Work - I'm an engineer working in the aerospace industry  - No unlike 90% of my colleagues I haven't enjoyed yours the tax payers furlough allowances, I'm fortunate enough to be one of a few that have kept the industry going, well what’s left of it. Donald Trump is my friend due to his funding in defence - vote Trump & keep me in work
3. Private reg transfer, took about a week to get my logbook back
4. Ive just lost all of my friends because I said vote Trump :tumbleweed:

Anyway, to the few left still reading I’ve managed to get my s**t together and list my Audi on autotrader tonight - Fingers crossed I'll get it sold and I'll update the few remaining reading forum members.

I have a few cars in my sights, my considerations have changed slightly now I understand what’s what regarding specs and options that I shouldn’t compromise on. After discussion with other forum members (you know who you are) I've become more amenable to colour combos to the right one spec wise.

Thanks all - hope to be back soon with the next milestone

The Audi has now gone to a new owner so I’m now using the wife’s car until I can find the right one for me, she’s working from home for the foreseeable so no transport worries.

I've set up alerts on autotrader and ebay so I'm not going to miss the obvious adverts, If anyone knows of a good car for sale preferably a 35iS for up to £15k I’d be happy to hear about them.
