Hi All,

TVR Griffith owner here looking to swap to a Z4MC/R
Love the look of the MC but also like to get a bit of sun on my head.

How do you think I'll get on with a Z4M after the TVR?

I've had a Chimeara and I'd say you'll love a Zed - even my 3.0si has a specialness about it and something of the drama of the Chimeara; it even has a sound track that, although not in the same league, is in it's own way, just as enjoyable. The Zed is so much easier to live with.

I often think of my Zed as being a reliable and sophisticated TVR.

Buying an ///M will give you the best of both worlds.

(Beautiful car the Griffith though - any photos?)

Welcome.
Think you will love them. Not the scare factor of the Griff, but they still demand respect. Only way to be sure is to test drive both.

The view onto the Coupe is rather good.

The view up out of the Roadster in infinitely better.

Agreed I need to drive both and see how I get on. The Griff is going due to a new house without garage (how did that happen!!?) and I'm hoping that a ZM will have a similarly lairy character but without the tantrums! Sounds from your comments that I may be on the right track....

still think it is THE classic shape and then add that sound track

(I always felt like Tom Jones bellowing out a fabulous sound whenever I drove my Chimeara - lots of attention )

My dad had a tvr and said it was the only car he has had that never felt slow by that he ment he never got used to the power. You know when you have a car and you get used to it after a while and it feels slower the tvr never done that. But he did say it was a bag of sh1te and would fall apart as you drive It.

Tvr will always be more special then a bmw but bmw make good cars

No worries paulgs1000. Have to agree that the RV8 engined TVRs have an epic sound track. I'll definitely miss that.

Yes, your Dad's right about them always feeling fast. The Griffith never seems anything less than epic to me. Unbeatably experience on the right roads on a sunny afternoon but truly terrifying on a rainy dark night.... No TVR will ever have the engineering sophistication of a BMW (or any other modern mainstream manufacturer) of course but I have to say nothing has ever fallen off any of the ones I've owned nor have they ever (properly) broken down. Yes really :wink:
