Newbie from The Netherlands

Hi all,

Registered a few days back and thought let's introduce.

I'm a proud and happy owner of a Z4 2.5i Roadster with the following options:
- Leather, heated and electric seats with memory.
- Climate
- HIFI with cd changer (perhaps looking for mp3 headunit upgrade)
- Cruisecontrol
- Factory phone (not sure about bluetooth though)
- Xenons
- DSC and Sport button
- 103 rims with runflats
- Cupholders
- Automatic folding roof
- Manual gearbox
- Alarm

Have it since april and put an aditional 12k km's on it. Took it in the summer to Austria and France beside a few trips to Germany (I live near the border so Autonahn is just 20min away ;)). Love it and enjoy it the most when weather is good.

Problems so far:
- Faulty bonet alarm sensor, fixed myself
- windscreenwiper mechanism had to be replaced completely (during holiday in Austria, great service by BMW overthere BTW but expensive)
- Noisy DISA and airintakehose fractured, both repaired with new by dealer
- Handbrake repaired by dealer

Won't be driving a lot during winter so next service will be early next year. Hopefully nothing major will come up.

Will do the drains flush tomorrow just to be sure.

Hi there, nice looking Zed :)

Just a question, how did you fix your alarm problem....? I have just disconnected my bonnet sensor and taped it for now but surely there must be a better fix that won't break the bank?

Replaced the sensor with a new (redesigned) one. Not expensive.

Good colour choice

been a bit foggy for the Zed this week in Holland though ...

welcome
Yeah love the colour ;). Most are gray, silver and black. So was pleased when I saw this one. Also pleased with the 103's, don't like the 108's 18" wheels most 3.0 have. I wish the 103's also came in 18" although 17" is quite right in the middle. Not too little for the car and not too big to become uncomfortable I guess.

I agree that the colour looks fab  . When I was choosing my Zed, I toyed with a blue one that had less options but was the same price as the sterling grey one I ended up with. Really like the look of the grey, but the blue is fantastic.

Enjoy your great car!

Welcome along - lovely colour, it's the wife's favourite  In fact, wind-deflector - check; manual - check; 2.5i - check; heated seats - check ... hey, it's the wife's ideal car
