Just a quick hello from Yorkshire.

I have had my Z4 for nearly 3 years but have only recently found the forum. She is a 2006 2.0 with 117500 miles and is pretty much original. I look forward to meeting some of you in the future.

Seriously though - welcome to the forum. Bedale not too far from me. I'm in Knaresborough.
 
As the roof has stopped working :x I am trying to get to Autoelectron in Starbeck to get it fixed,(not answering phone today).
apparently Merv has a good reputation.
 
The photos were taken on my mobile, didn't realise it looked pink but it's definitely a RedZed.
This is the road between Leyburn and Reeth.

There are a couple of forum members who can revive and relocate roof motors for sensible money - Durham Dave and DLV (aka ZedShed on Facebook) in Cheshire (although you might want to read all of this thread before using him). https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=105182

Welcome :thumbsup: that looks like the road from Leyburn over the Army ranges to Grinton. I’m not far away from you in Richmond.

The roof problem almost certainly won’t be electrical so unless your man in Starbeck has good experience with them I would suggest going elsewhere. As above...durham dave is your best bet. £80-£120 to get the motor fixed and moved to the boot.
