Newbie from Hampshire

Good evening,

I'm Ian and I collect my 2009 sdrive35i from an approved used dealer on Saturday. I've had a whole host of swift VAG cars, but I was so impressed with my old E46 330ci that I thought I'd go for another BMW.

My daily driver is a mk7 Golf GT 150 ACT, but I'm hoping to change this soon for a 420d M Sport Gran Coupe.

Looking forward to learning about my new car, and roll on Saturday!

Ian.

Welcome to the forum Ian, enjoy your new car when Saturday comes :driving:
The photo police will be along shortly

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations.

It's going to feel like a long week, but I hope it doesn't drag too much!

Don't forget to post some photos once you have collected it!

Lovely colour combination OP - paint looks like Deep Sea Blue!

You certainly shouldn't have any issues with the photo police having posted photos before collecting the car.

Just curious, but is yours a manual? (That would be my preference, hence why I would go for a 35i rather than a 35iS).

I live in Berkshire, but only a mile from Surrey and in a different direction a mile from Hants. Some of us meet up on the third Sunday of the month at Newlands Corner near Guildford, but I appreciate that although you are in Hants you might be many miles away!

But if you are anywhere near it would be good to see you some time (next meet is planned for 19 February around 09.00).

And this being the Z4 Forum a photo is pretty much compulsory, so here is one from the 15 January meet (turnout was good despite the weather)!

Hi and welcome.

That looks nice!

Hope you can make Newlands Corner as WRS was the only E89 last time.

Enjoy :driving:

Thanks for the welcome guys,

I am in Yateley so not far from Newlands Corner. I went to a couple of mk5 Golf GTi meets there, and used to walk the dog there when I lived in Guildford. Wonderful views across the Downs!

Thank you for the invitation, I will pop that in the diary.

I went for the DCT transmission as the Mrs will be driving it too and she prefers an auto!

I have booked the car in for a full detail with Wentworth Car valeting and will now begin researching a stage 1 tickle! Any advice gratefully received!!
