Newbie from Derby

Nice car- I'd stick to super unleaded- I do in my 2.2- and to be fair it's only about 100-130 quid a year extra in fuel costs!

My mate popped over in his Tuscan to pick up some TVR bits and bobs i have sold made me think when i was looking at his weather i have made the right decision :(

I love the zed i do think ive made the right move.

Heres a few photos of the beast i sold. :(

the bonnet on that TVR is amazing !! :o 8)

so how are you finding the M in comparison to the TVR mate?

First mod i did you can't open a bonnet on a Tuscan there bolted down :o the small bonnet opens only for topping up so a rare sight to see a open bonnet.

Glad to say im enjoying the 'normal' car it's so much better built you feel more comfortable in the bm but the TVR is easier to drive :(

Power is about the same TVR felt lighter to steer and they both stop the same, TVR 300kg lighter but very basic in comparion and you can't take the roof off in a coupe but i bought one because they look better than the roadster.

Above all i have no worries with the engine and drivetrain on the bm but the TVR has a poor record regarding the engine.

What i do miss is the noise and the sense of occasion the TVR brings i cant see any other car matching that but you have to have owned one to fully understand.

You do feel like a goldfish in a bowl in a TVR you're lucky if you get a second glance in the zed.

I went to the local TVR meet last weekend looking round the cars wondering if ive dropped a goolie then i drove mine and changed my opinion

So far so good but im keeping a open mind :)

Mmm, I think you forget what lies beneath the TVR my friend :P

Tuscan 0-60 mph: 3.68 secs and Top Speed 185 MPH and 350-400 BHP

BMW Z4M 0-60 mph: 5 secs and Top Speed 155 MPH and 343 BHP

There is no comparison on performance, which is why, I went the other way and got a T350 from a Z4 :)

Z4 is a lovely car, lovely memories and lots of smiles. Easier to pull out of the drive and live and use on a daily basis, which has it's benefits, which is why I went for this first, as my first sports car. But after a while of looking at TVR's and getting all emotional, I began to feel differently. There was a presence, soul in the TVR, and by golly, drive British :P
