newbie from colorado! have questions =]

Hello all! My name is Maddie and I just joined. I have a 2008 3.0i Z4 that I adore. Her name is Zoey. So far I haven't done any performance upgrades, but I am really interested in autocrossing her soon so I know those will be coming. The only change to her is the light pink roundels I have on all of her bimmer signs. I have a question for anyone willing to take the time to answer! Where can I find a decently priced cold air intake? I have had difficultly finding BMW parts on the web! Any suggestions would help! =] Thank you!

P.S. I removed the Euro because I was having trouble making it stay. I didn't want to drill holes in my front end, so I used double-sided velcro but it didn't want to cooperate!

sorry i can't help you, but can i just say how much i love that front plate, every roadster should have 1 :rofl:
 
Hey Maddie, welcome to the forum! Am sure someone will answer your cold air intake question shortly, but (for some reason) most of our members are in the UK so you will get most answers in UK daytime. Despite being forum admin I have no idea about cold air intakes... prety much all air in the UK is cold though :D

Funny, just been talking to my wife about Denver, she is over there on business in a few weeks (without the Zed, obviously, LOL)

You wont see much, if any, power gains with an intake but it'll sure make it sound delicious. :D
 
I just purchased a CAI for my 2001 Z3 from Dinan, I could have a look on the website for CAI's for the Z4's (or you can)
They are pricey little items but I'm supposed to gain a few hp on my Z3 with it....I think it was 11hp. I get it installed next week, along with a software remap and an exhaust ... total gain approx 20hp.

just had a peek, they have ram air intakes and some different covers for the intake duct.... I haven't put anything onto my 2003 Z4 so can't say if they are worth it or not.

Hey, thanks for all the welcoming. I will try and get an up close pic of the pink roundels soon! It's a fun aftermarket touch that really personalized it. I get alot of comments and people wondering how on earth I did that. In all honesty, they are just perfectly fitting stickers I ordered off the web! Why is it that the majority of the members to this forum are from the UK? lol I was born in London, and have dual citizenship but have lived here since I was a baby. Oh and thanks for the cold air intake suggestion, i'll have to check that out. =]
