Afternoon all
Actually I'm not that much of a newbie, I've been around for a few months now planning my way into Zed ownership.
And after much planning the other week I picked her up (please excuse the slightly naff photos):

She's a 3.0 auto SE with 72k on the clock. Notable options being M Sport suspension, heated seats, xenon, CD player and hifi system.
I've been a BMW fan for many years and have admired these cars for a while. I'm coming from a mk1 MX5, which with the mods I've done is a great handling car and I wasn't sure if the Zed could match it. Well having done a few of my regular local hooning roads all I can say is "wow"! All the fun of the MX5 but with double the power and silky smoothness. I'm very impressed
So I've gradually been compiling a snagging list of the car, I paid a good price so I'm happy to fix a few things such as:
- Bodywork - has a few marks, not to mention the front bumper that poorly fits and isn't a colour match. That's a job for my Dad as he does car bodywork for a living, he used to run the body shop for the local BMW main dealer, so he knows his way around a Z4.
- Drivers side headlight doesn't level, probably the stepper motor, I need to take a look.
- Headlights need a good polish as the plastic has pitted and gone cloudy.
- CD changer doesn't work, no power to it & not recognised by the head unit, I've read it's a pita of a job to take out. So bar checking the connections (if possible) that will be staying as is.
- Broken third brake light, already fixed
Looking forward to cracking the DA out and getting a good shine on the paintwork.
Finally, just want so say this is a great forum, lots of friendly folk and some great information contained within.
Thanks for looking
