Hi All
First post of my new arrival, with pic (I hope)! :D

Are there many grey soft tops out there?

Hi and welcome, nice looking car. Grey as rare, but not as rare as red although that isn't OEM to be fair.

Welcome

You don't see many around at all... Though I had a grey roof on my first (black) Z.

Hi and welcome to the forum. :)

Yeah grey coloured roofs are rare, don't see many around, but suits your colour combo.

Welcome aboard sir :driving:

I've always thought that the grey roof suited a grey zed. As mentioned - if you're looking for a mod that will make your car look 4 years younger, have a think about de-ginering the headlights 8)

Thanks for the warm welcome. So the sales guy was not bullsh**ing me when he mentioned about grey roof being rare.

Car just came out of local indie garage fixing bonnet release as I tried the fixes on here and would not open - new cable/sorted for £94.

How do I de-ginger lights then? Is something I can do? Where do I find parts?

What is everybody's opinion on after market stereo as my zed only has basic system fitted. Have been quoted £600 for new unit with iPod and Bluetooth, new speakers in existing surrounds plus amp, fitted. Will it spoil look of dash.

**WARNING* by showing you this thread, you are likely to catch an incurable disease called "Z4-itis". Only click if you're prepared to let modifying your zed remove all rational thoughts from your brain.... you've been warned. It's a slippy slope, that leads to an empty wallet

With regard to the radio I would stick with OEM as it will ruin the dash. Others have done thing to improve the system retaining it so there are options.

If you do replace it though keep it safe so when you do come to sell you can put it back to OEM. I'm sure plenty of buyers would be put off with a after market head unit in place.

hi, nice z4 you have

i had a grey roof but everyone kept telling me it's mouldy as it looks green sometimes, so i used renovo reviver to dye the roof black.
