Newbie checking in....

Afternoon all,

I'm due to pick up my Z4M Coupe on Friday, so thought I'd check in here.

I'm a regular on Pistonheads and Scoobynet (I'm p/x'ing my 07 Impreza against the Z4M) and look forward to contributing and learning as much as I can here. I've a varied background in cars and my fleet currently consists of a '97 E39 523i SE to waft around in and for commuting etc, a 2007 Impreza STI spec.D (until Friday when that will be replaced by the Z4M) and a hot rodded 1959 Chevy pick-up running a 468ci big block motor. Rather varied eh?

I've read the newbie advice section, so thought I'd best post up a pic, even though I haven't picked her up yet. The pic was on the dealer site and I've edited out the plate. I'll post more details on the spec etc when I've collected. Look forward to your comments......(especially if anyone knows the history - it came from Ipswich and has "TV" in the plate).

BTW, is it just the picture or does that car have a carbon roundel on the front?
 
Welcome and nice looking choice of Zed.

I run a '85 Jeep pickup (conversion from a US tug) with a Chevy small block in so you're in good company.

Hello mmm-five, nice to "see" a familiar name!! :thumbsup:
It has a standard roundel up front as far as I remember, but it was nearly two weeks ago when I first saw it now..!! I'll double check on Friday when I collect it..!!

That Jeep sounds cool CJ, nice to see another V8 owner around..! :)

Now then, let's see what I can learn in here............!!

Can't wait for tomorrow, I pick my Z up at lunchtime on Friday....!! :D

Any hints or tips for my drive home? :driving:
 
Have a paper bag ready to put on your head when you kangaroo it changing from 1st to 2nd infront of an attractive lady onlooker :wink:
