Stupid insignificant question but where is the USB port located on the Z4? Not the glovebox one, I'm assuming if there is an option it's on the centre console somewhere?

Thanks for any assistance or even a photo as I haven't got a Z4 in front of me yet :)

its on dash underneath the overhang / RHS of the ashtray opening  if that makes sense ( 2006 coupe)
& don,t forget the pics of your car when you do land one
its compulsory
:)

What model of Z4? Mine, 2012, its in the centre console, under the cover.

I'm persuading my better 'alf as I write.

I've got a very small cute little MR2 mk3 at present which is brilliant for chucking around corners but is frustraing me now as it's completely gutless in the engine department unless you stir it over 5000 rpm all the time. Being a soft top, it also only comes out on the sunniest of days which this year has been never

And my X1 23d has persuaded me that my old age, bad back and athritis would really benefit from two auto boxes in the stable instead of one.

So I started looking at the 2.0i and the guy in the showroom said "don't go near an auto 4 pot" so I started looking at the 25 then thought I may as well go the extra and look at the 30 and as things go, I'm now thinking, stuff it, go the whole way if you're gonna do it.

So I've got my eye on a 59 plate 35i so just need to choose the right moment to point out to her how important our relationship is. Me and my car that is  :fuelfire:

Yep, I'm on there as well. I was dragged over here kicking and screaming by KeithJ. Also TitanTim is on here, he was Chester on babybmw (not chesteruk...he seems to be an imposter!)

If you have a bad back is a low down sports car wise? Depending upon the wheels and set up, these cars like to pass on every bump in the road....

Hell, why not get the new golf clubs at the same time ! :D

I have a bad back from time to time and have to say driving mine is no problem find it comfortable less crashy than the 3er and 1er coupe we had before they were both msport as is this one. :)

That answers that then!

Thanks for the warm welcome even though I'm not officially here yet. My back isn't bad enough to stop me driving  . It's usually the "stuck in the same driving position" and the "left foot up and down on the clutch" that seems to irritate it on long journeys.

I can solve the former with cruise and the latter with auto :)

The MR2 is a different piece of kit, the seats are ok but not that supportive for long journeys. I know the X1 is a different beast but BMW seats seem to give much more support and variation in position. The 2 is just backrest angle and seat height. I'm assuming the design is the same in the Z4 and with lumber support should be ok to get a good driving position.

I am of course also assuming the steering is rake and reach adjustable. You can see how much I don't know yet so bear with me

What I do know is when I see a car I like and will fall in love with :driving:
