Hi,
I am picking up my new pride and joy on Friday :D - (3.0 SE - 2004 Black with Red Leather - 22k miles) and have been offered BMW seal & protect for £250 , apparently a saving of £100 ! Is it worth having this ?
Also , any advice on keeping the hood protected would be appreciated as the car will not be garaged.
Many thanks in advance

I have just bought a 2 bottle pack off ebay

I tried it on Saturday and well impressed, mine is not in a garage either.

Not a fan of 'short cut' car protection - a good wax and plish is in my opinion the best way to go. As for the hood I use Raggtopp. AND welcome to the Forum

Welcome.

I have been a big fan of diamond bright for many years now; But it is no compensation for a good polish and wax.

Welcome  save your money and do it yourself you will get a better finish and better protection and have plenty of cash left in your pocket.

Re the hood protection AG Kit is fine but make sure you cover the glass and bodywork around the hood as it leaves a residue behind easily removed with AG SRP but a pain none the less.

Renovo is good as well its what i used last time much easier to apply than the AG Kit and leaves no mess behind.

I got them down to £200 from £500 for seal and protect for a 2010 Z4 and TBH it makes a big difference as the water and most dirt actually falls off the car.
It really makes cleaning it a whole lot easier for now.

Come the early summer April June I'll get it properly detailed locally to last me till winter again :D
Enjoy yer motor :driving:
