Newbie about to get a Z4m Coupe

Congrats - I actually rang about that very car a few days ago as they still have it listed on the website in the "coming soon" section!

Out of interest and hope you don't mind me asking, did you manage any kind of deal on the price?

I've also just joined the M club having settled for next best after yours was taken! Also got a couple of weeks to wait whilst private plate is transferred...

Oh and don't worry about keeping the leather clean - I've got champagne on my current coupe and it's absolutely fine :)

Yes they said when I paid the balance for it that they'd had a couple of enquiries. I saw it on the "coming soon" section and because I was checking every day must have got in quickly as soon as it appeared. I'd just lost out on another car at Bowker Preston whilst I was selling my old Zed. I did manage to do a bit of a deal (nothing amazing) but then again it was priced quite reasonably anyway compared to some of the others. There's an Alpine White one for example at £30k that's been on for ages now.

I still haven't got my car yet. Hoping to get it midweek and then I might try and make the North Wales meet next weekend.

At least you know they are being quite thorough checking it out and something to be said for getting your money's worth in terms of them replacing the shocks.

Yours definitely did seem to be priced pretty well compared to the one I've eventually gone for and is a great colour combo.

I've seen that Alpine one on there for a while too - does look lovely - but they've probably just overpriced it because of the rare colour.

Whilst trying to decide what car to have next, I'd been lookng at a few M cars (E92 M3, Z4MC and Z4MR) and I definitely think the further up North you go the more competitive the pricing. I once bought my ex-wife a Mini from Bowker Preston and that was a cracking deal too.

What colour combo/spec have you gone for ?

Mine's a 56 Silver Grey / Space Grey with Light Sepang Nappa leather, and that's the only bit I'm unsure about - leather colour isn't quite my first choice! Decent spec though as consolation for the leather:

Ext. mirrors - auto dimming

It's the one still listed on the BMW site with 14k on it. It'll be a couple of weeks before I get it as I need to transfer my plate from my current car.

Yeah the Sepang looks nice in the photo - I have seen it of course but I just can't remember whether it looked as good in the flesh! Time will tell...

Looks like I'm getting an almost identical car to yours!

Mine is a September 07 Z4MC in Midnight Blue with Champagne leather from Sytner Solihul. Its got 13k on the clock with Professional Nav, Bluetooth, Logic 7, PDC, Heated front seats and Voice Control.

Was meant to get it this weekend but now they're delivering it to me this week. Can't wait!! :D

Blimey your spec is almost identical. You have PDC though which mine doesn't. I just love the Midnight Blue/Champagne combo and what's more its a pretty rare choice too which is nice.

I've done 1k miles in mine so far and I'm going to do a thread later tonight on thoughts on the first month. The general theme will be extremely positive ! :driving:

Hope you get your car soon. I will remember picking mine up and driving it home for a long time. I'm a real BMW man and this is my first M so a special time for me.

I know - Great minds think alike :D I think I saw your car on the BMW website a few weeks ago when I started looking.

Glad to hear that things are going well with M ownership. Really looking forward to getting mine. Unfortunately, I may have to wait until next week before I get my hands on mine whilst Sytner sort out the finance outstanding on the car (which they hadn't sorted before selling it to me) :headbang:

My folks live in Sheffield so I pass Notts on the way home. We'll have to have a comparison meet up :D

So far its been amazing, raucous and brutally quick when you want fun on the twisties, a relaxed motorway cruiser with a decent boot (wasn't expecting that). 8)
