Newbie about to get a Z4m Coupe

Hello everyone,

Been reading the forum for a little while and really enjoy reading all your posts.

I've just sold my beloved 3.0iSE which I had for nearly 5 years and racked up 83k miles in and taken the plunge and bought a Z4M Coupe from David Holmes Stockport. It's a June 2007 Midnight Blue with Champagne Leather, Prof Nav, Heated Seats, Cruise Control, Logic 7, Bluetooth, Voice Control.

It's got 12.5k miles on the clock and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Should've got it last Saturday but when they did the Approved Used check they decided to replace the shocks but they are on back order and have to come from Germany. I'm hoping to get it before Easter but not holding my breath.

I've tried to work out how to post some piccies but I can't seem to figure it out. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Looks nice, and that was one of the colour combo's I was after, but they only had an Interlagos & black leather one when I was looking.
Is it extended leather & piano trim too?

What was wrong with the shocks, or was it the ubiquitous rear spring issue?

No don't think its extended leather because that covers the transmission tunnel doesn't it ? no piano black either just standard leather trim to dash.

I think there was a minor problem with one of the front shocks so apparently under the Approved Used rules they change the lot.

You've also got rear privacy glass - which means you won't be seeing much out of those windows from now on - especially if you have sunglasses on in summer 8)

knew I'd forgotton something. pretty dark is it ? I've got the green band on the windscreen as well, forgot that too !

I think your colour combo is really good. I was looking for ruby black ones as well. good choice !

Looks amazing, very jealous and the only car i can see me replacing my current z4 with in the future. looks awesome and a nice easter present.

Midnight blue is probably my favourite colour for the M.

A great choice and welcome to the headache which is light coloured leather.

Very nice, it's a colour I would have considered also.

One additional option I would have liked on mine is the green band front screen, I think I will upgrade to that when/if the front screen needs replacing.

I tried one with the green band and found it blocked out too much of the screen for my liking - like driving all the time with our 'mini sun-visors' down.

I had the sun-protection / privacy glass but didnt find it difficult to see out of - do I have shite sunglasses ?

privacy glass will be an improvement over the roadster with the roof up... and Ive never found that to be too much of a problem

Latest news is no car before Easter. My front shocks only left Germany on the 30th and apparently can take a week to arrive. So middle of next week is the earliest I'll be in the M by the sounds of it. This wait is akin to mental cruelty !!!! :x
