Newbie. 2004 3.0l Auto

Purchased in July, already had a E91 320D but needed a 2nd car.

Work done so far: Fixed ashtray closing, bonnet opening, stuck CD cassette. Restored headlights. Changed battery. Installed OEM cup holders.

To do: Cruise control, Seat restoration, Change gearbox oil, springs back to Msport from lowered (and fix camber), change GPS antenna (currently shows me driving in the english channel).

Plate ends in CVT if someone knows this cars history. Also it has W5 scratched in the rear Bumper... perhaps linked to a london gang.

Welcome to the forum - looks like a nice 3.0 Auto you've bagged yourself.
That mark on the bumper sounds very odd - will it need a full re-spray?

A Z4 "toy" works pretty well with an E91 daily IME! :lol:
 
Just occurred to me, dont know if anyone can diagnose this, it's not an msport zed. But when I turn on the car, if it's been left for a few days, the msport logo flashes up on the nav screen. Is that normal or has someone coded it?
 
Welcome to the forum, what year is it. The early E85's were wired to just plug and play on the cruise control.
 
2004, already checked, has the cruise wires just need to find the stalk at a decent price... the x5 one fits, but the plug is wrong.

I retrofitted cruise to the e91, which was a lot more effort, taking of the steering wheel and coding it in.

I have a spare inflatable canoe, if that would help with your Sat Nav issue. :wink:
