Assuming you have an E85 or 86 you're in the same state the car was built in!

There is usually someone who can answer most questions, but we would like to see photos of your 1stZ.
 
Ok here goes. I am a little older and not sure about protocol on forums. I purchased a 2004 Z4 that was damaged in the front. It has been repaired but has what seems to be a tie rod issue. The car has a small amount of sway from left to right while driving. Not so much that it is undriveable but more than I feel it should. Any information would be helpful even if this is normal for this car. Just want to know.

Worn bushes on the tie rods, "lollipops", drop links and / or wishbone arms maybe?
If so, it should all be a routine fix for a competent mechanic I would think.
