After reading about the love for the M Sport ZHP weighted gear know I bit the bullet and ordered one from Sopers on Tues eve which dually arrived today.

Only bad point is it that the wife took delivery of it on her lunch break. Avoided the fact that I'd spent £55 on something, in her words, 'I already have'.

Anyway, out to the garage, popped the old one off with zero effort and popped this little beauty on in it's place. Took less than 1 minute to do, sorry to those who struggle to remove theirs/smack themselves with it etc...... but mine was an easy mod.

It just feels right if you know what I mean. Glad I decided to bite the bullet with it.

Arrival.

Why have I not done this mod yet?!

There something not quite right about admiring another mans knob on an Internet forum

I've just bought one via eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111892755109  :driving:

Your resistance was futile in the end then I see!

Pop your into 2nd gear while sat in the passenger seat, not sure why, I did mine from the drivers side, grab with both hands and jerk it upwards.

Hopefully it'll pop straight off with little effort.

I'd give it a go b4 the new one arrives, they pop back on easily enough.

I had to give my knob a hard and fast tug to get it off the shaft. Squirted right off in the end.

It's all going down hill very quickly.

Glad you finally put your hand in your pocket and pulled the trigger.
There's something rather satisfying about caressing a leather clad knob.

Nice knob, I'd like an illuminated one though.

Sid is selling this one mate. http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=83926

Looks to be in good nick and a decent price, drop him a PM.

I considered it but ended up with the weightier ZHP instead.

nb67. Looks good, haven't fitted mine yet, still boxed on the shelf. But then I haven't been out in the car for a while
